1. Devender Singh became the second javelin thrower from the country to book a ticket for World championships in London with a stunning throw of 84.57m which won him a gold medal at the Indian Grand Prix Athletics meet.

देवेंदर सिंह ने भारतीय ग्रां प्री एथलेटिक्स मीट में 84.57 मीटर भाला फेंककर लंदन में होने वाली विश्व चैंपियनशिप के लिये क्वालीफाई किया। वह लंदन विश्व चैंपियनशिप के लिये भाला फेंक स्पर्धा में क्वालीफाई करने वाले दूसरे भारतीय है।
